Here are our CITY CHAMPIONS!!

·        Tamyah Pipkin in the 100m dash

·        Samson Lam in the Discus.  Samson set a new school record of 134 feet.

Also performing well were:

·         Brittany Lindsey and Betsy Goodin in the Pole Vault.  They placed 3rd and 4th.  Both of these girls just picked up the event within the last couple of weeks.

·         Deurricka Suter placed 4th in the 200m dash.  She is the fastest 9th grader in the city for the 200m dash.

·         8th grader Kayla Willis from Southern placed 8th in the 400m dash!

·         Madalyn Stichnot set a new personal record in the 3200m run placing 3rd.  She also placed 2nd in the 1600m run.

·         Bridget Stichnot followed her sister in running very well in the 1600m and 3200m run.  Bridget is graduating Tates Creek as the most decorated distance runner in 10-15 years.

·         Ashley Massey learned how to hurdle in 3 days and placed in both the 100m and 300m hurdles.

·         Tamara Hounshell also learned how to hurdle in 3 days and placed in the 300m hurdles.

·         Alyssa Jordan (8th grader from SMS) placed 2nd in the girls high jump

·         Courtney Carter (8th grader from SMS) placed 8th in the girl’s triple jump and shot put.

·         7th grader Taelor Brown of Morton placed 7th in the girl’s discus with a personal record of 65 feet.

·         Mark Flores got edged out in the boy’s 1600m run by 0.03 seconds.  Mark set a seasonal personal record.  It was a VERY close race.  3rd place was 0.53 seconds behind mark.

·         Cody Garcia set a personal record in the pole vault placing 2nd.

·         Michael Stone placed 2nd in the high jump.

I am very pleased with our team.  We “saluted” our seniors during this meet.  Most of them will run at the collegiate level! (TCHS had the least amount of graduating seniors.  Our girl’s team is very young!)

·         Bridget Stichnot (running division 1 track and cross country at Murray State)

·         Michael Stone (playing basketball at Transylvania and probably high jumping)

·         Cody Polzin (running track and cross country at Georgetown)

·         Quinn Wright

·         Daniel Norman (running track and cross country at Villanova)

·         Nijel Renfro

·         Josh Carter (running track at division 2 Missouri College of Science and Technology)

We fielded many middle school athletes during this meet.  Many thanks to the middle school coaches for sharing their athletes.  Many of the middle school athletes scored points and others gained valuable experience.  Here are the middle school athletes:

·         Alyssa Jordan (SMS) High Jump, Long Jump, and 200m

·         Markia Lamar (SMS) 200m
