Alyssa Kruse and Dee Christopher named Prom Queen and King
The 2011 Tates Creek High School Prom took place on the night of May 14 with the theme of “Old Hollywood”. It was a very exciting and eventful night, especially for a group of ten seniors, who had been nominated by their peers to be on Prom Court. This year’s Prom Court delegates included Marcellus Barksdale, Dee Christopher, Ryan Fucci, John Kruse, and Jacob Soard for the guys, and Alicia Davila, Alyssa Kruse, Rizka Rivianti, Martina Barksdale, and Annamaria Corea for the girls. All the contestants walked up on stage while their fellow classmates gathered around them to watch. Finally, over the loudspeaker, the DJ announced the winners, which were Alyssa Kruse for Prom Queen and Dee Christopher for Prom King. Everyone cheered while they were given their crowns and began their honorary dance. It was a great ending to a great night.
