IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Leadership Lexington Youth Program:

Applications are now available for 2013 and they are due March 29th by 5pm. This unique opportunity is for upcoming juniors. The program is selective with a competitive application process, but the experience is worth every minute and looks excellent on a resume. Application and information can be found here.

Grief Counseling Resources

PSAT- The PSAT will be given at our school on Saturday, October 20th, 2012 at 7:45 am in the cafeteria. Students will need a pencil and a calculator. Cost of the test is $25 due the day of the test. To register, complete the registration form and return to the Guidance Office by October 5th. Registration forms and practice booklets are also available in the counseling office.

21ST CENTURY SAFEHOUSE: offers tutoring for completing PLATO Credit Recovery courses. Community based program also rovides group activities, weekend field trips, and mentoring for interested students.

ESS OR AFTERSCHOOL TUTORING- ESS is available for free to students after school on our campus. Please view the schedule for subjects and times. We also have UK tutors on Thursdays.

Upward Bound: offers free tutoring and mentors students who are thinking of attending college. Go to www.bluegrass.kcts.edu/upward_bound for more information.

GRADES AND ATTENDANCE- Check your child's grades and attendance using the Infinite Campus Portal. Student numbers can be obtained by using the boxes on the TCHS home page. Log on here.

SPORTS ELIGIBILITY- Playing a sport? Check the new academic athletic eligibility policy for TCHS.

DRIVERS PERMIT VERIFICATION- Need your DRIVERS PERMIT? Come see Mrs. Gilley in the counseling office TWO days before you take the test.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES- Want to find out about your child's progress? Request a parent teacher conference by speaking with your child's counselor and have the opportunity to speak to each teacher about grades, behavior, progress, and attendance.

GOOD STUDENT DISCOUNTS- Need a document to verify your child's grades for insurance discounts? See Mrs. Gilley, the counseling secretary.
