Governor's School for the Arts

A representative from the Governor’s School for the Arts will be at Tates Creek on Tuesday November 10, 2009 to share information about the program with any interested tenth or eleventh grade students. There will also be a free workshop for students who are interested in applying on November 14th at Transylvania University. For more information please use this fact sheet and visit their website  www.kentuckygsa.org.

Governor’s Scholars Program

GSP is open to all Juniors who are interested in applying. There will be an Information Session to find out about this wonderful program on Tuesday, October 20th at 11:00am in the theatre.

At least two Teacher Rec. Forms are Required.

COMPLETED application with teacher recommendation forms are due to Mrs. Bruce on December 1st, 2009.  No late applications will be accepted.

PSAT

The PSAT is a test that allows 11th grade student their first opportunity to experience a college entrance exam.  Taking this test will also give students a test score that is needed for Governor’s Scholars and a chance to qualify for National Merit Scholarships.

The PSAT will be given Saturday, October 17,at 7:45am  in the TCHS Cafeteria.  The cost is $20.  Please bring a pencil and a calculator.
